What does microblading cost? Price, quality and what is included
When comparing microblading prices, you will quickly notice considerable differences. This is not unusual: there is no fixed price for microblading in Belgium, and treatments, working methods and levels of experience cannot always be compared directly.
A price therefore tells only part of the story.
What matters more is what is included in that price, how the treatment is performed and who carries it out.
What does microblading cost at Joëlle Senden?
The price of a new microblading treatment starts from €550, including one touch-up after 4 to 6 weeks.
Before treatment, I assess your natural eyebrows, skin, facial features and any existing pigmentation.
The treatment is then tailored individually, from determining the shape and choosing the colour to creating the hairstrokes and assessing the result after healing.
If you already have permanent makeup, require a correction or have a particular skin condition, a separate assessment may be necessary first.
Why do microblading prices vary?
Microblading prices can vary depending on factors such as:
- the experience and training of the practitioner
- the time spent on consultation and pre-drawing
- skin and facial analysis
- choice of pigments and materials
- hygiene and working procedures
- the technical complexity of the eyebrows
- existing PMU or microblading
- follow-up after treatment
- whether a touch-up is included
For this reason, it is better not to compare only the amount charged for the first appointment.
Is the touch-up included in the price?
With my microblading treatment, one touch-up after 4 to 6 weeks is included in the price starting from €550.
This appointment is important because only after healing can we properly assess how the skin has retained the pigment.
Where necessary, the shape, colour or hairstrokes can be refined during this appointment.
When comparing prices, it is therefore advisable to check whether a touch-up is included or charged separately.
Why experience matters more than price alone
Microblading is a manual pigmentation technique. The result depends on much more than the ability to draw fine lines.
Skin assessment, pigment selection, shape, symmetry, pressure, depth and an understanding of the healing process all play an important role.
I have been working professionally with permanent makeup and pigmentation techniques since 1998. In 2014, I completed international microblading training with Branko Babić, founder of the PhiBrows method. In 2017, I continued my specialised microblading training with Vesna Jugovic.
I use that experience not only to determine how to perform a treatment, but also to assess when microblading may not be the best choice for a particular skin type or existing pigmentation.
Cheap or expensive microblading: what does the price really tell you?
A low price does not automatically mean poor microblading. Conversely, a high price alone is no guarantee of quality.
That is why I recommend looking beyond the price.
Consider, for example:
- the practitioner's training and experience
- healed results, not only photographs taken immediately after treatment
- whether the eyebrow shape is designed individually
- how skin type and existing pigmentation are assessed
- which pigments and materials are used
- whether hygiene and legal requirements are followed
- what aftercare is provided
- whether a touch-up is included
A good comparison therefore considers both the price and what the treatment includes.
Hygiene and safety are part of a professional treatment
Microblading involves placing pigment into the skin and is subject to tattooing regulations in Belgium.
Professional practice therefore requires attention to hygiene, an appropriate treatment environment, sterile materials and the safe handling of used materials.
I work with REACH-compliant pigments and according to the applicable hygiene and safety requirements.
Safety is not an optional extra that you pay for. It is a basic requirement of every professional treatment.
Existing microblading or PMU can affect the treatment and price
If you already have old microblading or permanent makeup, a new treatment cannot always be performed in the same way as on untreated skin.
First, I assess:
- how much pigment is still present
- the colour of the existing pigment
- whether the existing shape can be retained or needs correction
- whether the skin is suitable for new hairstrokes
In some cases, a correction can be performed directly. In other situations, waiting, allowing the pigment to fade or choosing a different treatment may be more appropriate.

Which questions should you ask before booking microblading?
Before making your decision, consider asking:
- How long has the practitioner worked with permanent makeup or microblading?
- Can I see healed results?
- Will my skin be assessed beforehand?
- Which pigments are used?
- Is the touch-up included?
- What happens if I already have old PMU?
- What aftercare will I receive?
- Are the applicable hygiene requirements followed?
A professional practitioner should be able to explain clearly what will be done, why it is being done and what you can realistically expect from the result.
